Muffler question

Ruby is about 8 weeks from coming off the road and has a hair line crack in the rear of the muffler where tail pipe connects. I was wondering can i somehow :rolleyes:

use the V8 muffler i have waiting 4 the conversion. I really dont want 2 have 2 buy a new muffler for the 6cyl when she will be off the road soon. Unfortunately my camera isnt working so I cant do pics.

Can you leave the muffler as is for 8 weeks, or is it falling off?

Take the tail pipe off completly and get used to a louder exhaust :spoton:

Take it to an exhaust centre. Most can make anything fit.

its ok at the moment, but economy is shit and up hills is worse. But I suppose it will help me avoid more speeding fines.

Threre's those exhaust 'bandage' things they sell at k-mart etc. I wouldn't use it in the long term but it would be ok for a few months...

the crack is where the tail pipe section meets the muffler, damn mechanic didnt re connect bracket properly which put strain on this join which led to the crack. I dont think tape would do it cause of where it is.
