Hi guys
I was hoping that HG350 or Red can verify these tag details for me ASAP if possible.
It is an LH SL/R 5000
11/75 BLH057313M (might be 315M)
VIN: 8D69TFJ504373M
MODEL: LH8VD69
BODY: 504373M
TRIM: 1896 18V
PAINT: 567 15942
ENG: L31, TRANS, M21, AXLE, GU7.
The engine is not original, it has had a QT engine fitted, don't know original HT number.
The car is not the original colour according to the tags. It should be Contessa gold but is painted Aqua Marine.
What I am trying to establish is whether or not it has had a tag swap or has been repainted. All date codes match up and everything appears to be fair dinkum.
Can someone please see if you can cross reference the chassis number with the VIN so I can tell if it is the real deal. PM me

If you want a quick reply than better of email Millisa and Peter(HG350,I think they are about the only ones that can truly check for you.I mailed them the details of my SS yeasterday and today I got a reply stating that everything checks out,they even told me the exact manufacture date right down to the day and when it got sold(took holden 8 months to sell my SS),its just amazing what they can tell you.

The chassis number stamped on the passenger side rail should match the number stamped on the ADR Compliance plate also on the passenger side.
To confirm the original body colour look in unobvious places like under the dash or carpets or on the underside of the car in the rear wheel wells.
Your VIN should have a H at the end. The VIN matches the body no so this is good.

Yes you're right, it should be "H" A second look confirmed that. All chassis details and compliance plates details are spot on. I was unable to find any colour changes with my first look that's why I have requested specific help with the VIN / Chassis cross reference. Everything adds up except the colour..
