I have some numbers here which aren't making sense. The Chassis number is ALH 012 370H and the compliance is ALH 103 270M.

What plates should be the same as what? Connect the dots here. I was under the impression the VINs last numbers should match the Body Plate and Saftey. But what about the chassis? Should that match em aswell? If they don't, can you use a modification plate?

For the purpose of registration the Chassis number ALH 012 370H is used. The ADR plate should also show this number. Your ADR plate is from another car. Pretty common. Having non matching plates would devalue the car if seeking originality but have no effect on registration.

Hi Guys.

The GM model year starts on Sept 1 each year.

So the 1975 model year applies to all cars from 1/9/74 to 31/8/75.

Dr Terry.
