Hey There
I have a 400 chev in my LH torana and its still rego to the holden 308. Ive heard there is a weight factor involved. Is this true and what weight is needed to comply. Ive got a turbo 350 trans and a 9 inch 3.25 LSD with HQ brake system would this be satisfactory.

the pits basically refused to rego a torrie with a 400 chev
midland , warick . welshpool and east perth branches were all tryed at some time by 3 of my mates all with the same result engine capasity to large for vehicle
the only one i've seen get through was a guy who told the inspector it was a 308
(not all inspectors are that bright)
cheers tom

you can get an engine number from the pits, it will end in a P so they know its been issued buy them. i got 1 from midland for my 350, the old fella there is pretty helpfull. when i got the number he told me that i 350 is no worrries and 15 inch rims are ok and just make sure you can see the top of the tyre in the guard
etc. there is some sort of percentage rule with engine capacity increase from what they are released with.
