I'm going ahead with buying new wheels asap and cant decide weather I'll go with Weld DRAGLITE or PRO STAR?? on the LX I like both and have seen both types on LX Torana's driving about over here and they both looked fantastic!, which of the two would you guys opt for?. I'll be going 15" X 7 up back and 15" X 6 upfront, from info Ive gathered I'll need 4.5" Backspace to fit on Unflared LX= can anyone confirm??, brakes will be upgraded to WB soon as I find some Torana Drum Stubs!, will be going ahead with brake upgrade just as LH S.L.R 3300 has done here http://www.gmh-toran...showtopic=46308

I like the look of the pro stars! But the Draglites do look good on Toranas. Tough choice!

Both my LHs run Weld Prostars, they are my pick out of them & Draglites but both look great. I run 15x6 fronts with 3 1/2" back space & 195x60x15 tyres & 15x8 rears with 4 1/2" back space, though the silver Torana has 235x60x13 tyres & rolled guard lips, the Orchid Torana has un-rolled guard lips & 225x60x15 tyres just fit. Both cars have standard LH-LX width diffs.

Still trying to sort out ordering these DRAGLITE Wheels,I want to make 100% sure before ordering/buying these that this is what I'll need to clear unflared LX

Fronts:15x7" with 3.5" Backspace
Rears:15 x8" with 4.5" Backspace

I got an email back from Jack Baker Tyres in S.A,they can get me them in Torana pattern at $295.00 a wheel but will have to come from the U.S,so no idea how long that would take!? or I can order from someone in Australia in HQ pattern and then have to alter my stud pattern.

Seems no one in Australia has any weld wheels left in torana pattern

I take it that going directly to dragway.com.au with a semi-custom order is too expensive?

EDIT: they have specials on for $350 for a 15x6.5

you want torana pattern wheels
but are upgrading to wb brakes soon?
you do relaize the hq-wb disc has a different offset and stud pattern to the toranna?
or are you redrilling to suit the torrana pattern?
how much you looking to pay for lh drum stub axles?
if things don't pan out i can sell you mine
if your changing brakes you might consider redrilling/changing the rears as well
this would give you a better choice in wheels and you wouldn't have to buy things twice
when your plans change

ooops I just re-read my first post= change of plan im going the Hopper Stoppers Brakes now,the wheel mob said it would take 4-6 weeks for the wheels to arrive via boat from the U.S after the order is placed.

Sounds like I might be better buying the HQ Pattern "weld wheels" was trying to cut some costs of having not to get the rear stud pattern and drums changed to HQ as the wheels, tyres and brake kit will send me broke alone!.

hoppers will let you do any pattern you want don't they?
if you really want a choice in rims crumpledoor is the pattern as those go all the way up up 19's
but then you will have to mod your rear to change to disc
you could have 2 different patterns front and rear
but then you need 2 spares Posted Image
