What kind of supercharger is it??
You wont make 250-300hp at 10psi.
Cheers.

the kit is apparently able to push out 550hp with a built motor, i figured 250 was a reasonable goal. what would be more realistic, and what will i need to do re cam/rods/rockers/etc? i figure i have a budget of about 3k on the motor itself. am i trying to cross the desert without water here?

Looks a bit small really, but not a bad looking kit.
Do a bit of a search on what you would have to do, lots of people building boosted motors atm. Yes you could build a motor to take 10psi for 3k. Im currently sticking 10psi through a motor that cost me $200, not sure for how long though.
For $3200 theres probably better ways you could go, depending on yoru fabrication skills. If you have none, then thats not a bad kit.
Cheers.

3k will build you a decent base if you can put it together yourself and get things done at trade/mates rates, wont set the world on fire to start with, but gives you a base to work from.

You will want 10k to spend on the whole thing, not much less.
3k for the supercharger, 3k for the long motor, and another 3k+ for all the other things you dont think about, mostly fuel system, ignition system, intercooler and exhaust.
If you do everything properly, you might be able to get 200-250 Moroso HP out of it...Which is a fair bit in a Torana.
Is there a compressor map for that blower anywhere?? Wouldent mind plotting a 202 on it to see how it comes up.
That said, it seems like they dont really give a stuff about anything after the kit is sold, they probably dont want to do the R&D. I dont like a few things said on that website, and would be surprised if they even have one going properly going by the wording.
Chris, i doubt a compressor that size would push enough air to do anything interesting over about 5000rpm personally...Will change my tune if i see a compressor map and prove myself wrong.
EDIT The more i read of that website the less i like the idea. They say some pretty stupid things....
Cheers.

Forced induction will be cheaper, either blow through supercharger or turbocharger.
Steer clear of Strata draw through turbo setups and SC-14 supercharger setups, these can work but not so well.
Need a budget really.
one of the things that turns me off is that they seem to think that the one blower will work for anything smaller than a 5lt engine, and that the other one will work for anything bigger than a 4lt engine. This goes against everything we learn if we graduated from pre school....
Cheers.

they make one for V6 commodores that has worked pretty well for alot of people.
not sure if thats the same SC though or a larger version.
Ive always wanted to play with a centry, but ive still got the itch for a roots or screw (hey, all the names are sexual...) style blower first.
Ive still got a hydraulic blower cam in the cupboard too, bought it off stedz LC aaaages ago.

Though they dont make a kit so it would be all custom, which doesnt phase me but might not be suitable for everyone.
Re the R&D, going by the website they have done none of it...Just made a bracket and started selling kits, not a good look IMO.
Cheers.
