One is a chassis number and the other engine number. No good for identification. Need the VIN. I don't know how they identify export models, so will be interesting to see. Would cars that went to NZ be part of the Export stock? I don't think they would.

62X trim? Thats an unusual one. What does the trim look like in it?

the paint is Jade green metallic

Looks like an SLR5000 built sometime between 01 sep 74 and 31 aug 75, very early looking engine number that looks about right. Does your chassis number match the number on the compliance plate? and what date is on the compliance plate?

Are you meaning the ADR one? This is a NZ car I think and unless it was privately imported it will not have the compliance tag. NZ cars did not have to comply with the ADR rules so did not have the tag fitted.

:D :D Ha ha ha, Yes of course we have to confirm to rules and standards, just not the Australian ones. Thats why when us kiwis supply numbers from our tags we can only do so from two as the third ADR one that you have fitted in OZ was not fitted to those cars exported to NZ. in the LH/LX's anyway.

No ADR tag may be the case for LH/X 's, but not for LC's. Rego history for my LC GTR shows it being sold by Peter Sunberg Motors Ltd 11/10/1971, and where it says prior odometer reading, it says NEW. My car has the ADR tag (3 tags in total) :D

I had a feeling that was the case because as far as I can remember all the GTR's and XU1's I have seen have had the 3 plates. I know people have struck problems in the past trying to export SL/R 5000's back over to OZ as the ones sold new in NZ don't have the ADR Tag.

Yes, as I have said I have also seen the ADR plate on other cars. I wonder why they weren't fitted to LH/LX's and yet as you say fitted to an HQ prem?

do you think' 238 dealer ' may mean it was an export car? My car has no ADR plate and still has 'Aussie made ' sticker on the rear window which were only fitted to export cars. I have details of another LH SLR5000 (auto) at work i will post details on monday & pic of my seats.MARK

Nice trim. The Ranier trim looks different against the lighter back ground.
