G/day Rob

The console for the Opel gearbox will not suit with the Aussie M20 shifter, the hole in the console is too small. I'm pretty sure the console is basically the same just need to get your hands on the M20 type vinyl boot and plastic retainer. Use the retainer to mark out the correct hole size, then cut the bigger hole in your console. Coincidentally I was at Rare Spares today, they have the retainer and the vinyl boot for the M20 type console but they don't have a repro of the LC/LJ g/shift rubber boot and metal retainer that mount to the transmission tunnel.
They also have repro M20 type consoles but worth $$$$$$$.

Hope this helps
Cheers
Dave

Yes you can use your LC console and boot all you have to do is sit it off centre slightly. It's that slight that you can't even notice it.
Cheers Dave

Resurrecting an old topic. Has anyone with a LC Opel console ever fitted the new console trim surround  for a aussie four-speed? I know that there is not much meat there on the left of the gearstick so has anyone fitted one of these new trim surrounds to a Opel console? Did you have to do anything on the left side to provide support?
