Hi guys, thought id throw up a post about the HG im building,

picked it up from cranbourne bout 6 months ago, so far ive pieced together a new DART 400SBC, Aluminium RHS Pro Action heads, Scat 400 crank with 2000 bolt SCAT rods, Hi-energy sump, rollers,Holley strip dominator manifold, MagnaFuel Quick star 300 fule pump, solid roller cam. ETC

I got my hands on the full interior from a VY SS, front buckets have been modified and fitted, running 9inch 3.9 Tru-trac with Billet axles.

Bout to pick-up the Aussie Desert Cooler "Burnout King" radiator setup aswell. Im confident on 600Hp

Will get some pics up tonight.

9 inch is setup for commodore rear disc brakes, front is HQ disc, probably a full manualised TH350. Trans bloke reckons he can build a turbo350 to hang onto it without going upto the TH400.

Yeah i know, between working to pay for the damnthing and talking about it i aint got a great deal of time. plus its hard to hide all that info from the wife, lol

Hi guys, small update.
Just picked up my Radiator from Aussie desert cooler, I didnt go the biggest cooling package they have because to fit it you need to modify your radiator support.
This setup slots in the Factory position, has there twin thermo fan and shroud will pull 2900cfm.
Came with a wiring relay kit and i also brought the overflow bottle aswell, doesnt charge for the Bowtie emblem in the top tank.

Also like cash instead, lol. made a good difference to the price.

Aussie Desert Cooler Radiator

I should learn how to just upload em straight onto GMH

Ok, update time
Bottom end is studded and all complete, ASR sump picked-up, cam timing and cam end float is all done, got my heads dummy fitted to get correct rocker and push-rod length.
picked up my Magna Fuel quick-star 300 fuel pump and 2 port hi-flow reg, now that the aussie dollar is great, i ordered a MSD Pro billet Dizzy, MSD 6AL-2 box and Blaster SS coil, they came in the mail last week.

Im using a Holley strip dominator manifold which is going in for match porting next week then off to HPC for a Black colouring.
Im having a little trouble getting the correct push-rod length and rocker offset.

Ive cut out the rusted floor pans on both sides and replaced with the rare spares pans, actually come up pretty good for a first timer.
Front end is out getting the HQ brake swap and rebushed.

I managed to find a decent prem rear seat and its off getting trimmed in black SS leather to match the front

Anyways, if i could figure out how to upload the pics without having to go to photobucket i would, so i will just post another link.

Cheers

OK, been a while since my last update, floor pans all welded in, sealed up sorted, fitted up the 9 inch with new springs, primered the engine bay, had dramas with getting pushrods but eventually got a set made from California, this is what the engine looks like at the moment. Hopefully should get it on the engine dyno by mid next month.
