Some of you are very narrow minded people. Is this going to be like the, Mazda 20B in a torana thread? Read the Ford forum, everybody was pleased and very helpful. I wonder why he never told you bloke about it, i know why. You all should be pleased someone has gone to the effort and use a torana, and not shit can them. Why do you all do it.

Ford 9"? 250 cranks? I go to lots of Fords that the coil or module or fuel pump have failed on and ask the member "do you want to know what's wrong with your car?" when they answer yes I point to the badge on the bonnet. I'd rather blow up 10 banjo's than fit a 9 inch. But that's just my opinion. :tease:

Fords are necessary, to come second.................or improve the standard of what GM is offering here.
Correct if wrong.......but isnt the Ford OHC 6cyl an all Aussie development, unlike the Nissan 6cyl and the Buick derived v6 which are in the beloved "Aussie" Commodore?

30 break downs per day. Never been to a VX or VY for any more than battery issue, flat tyre, lock out or out of fuel. All of these I can get going on the road side, out of spark on a Ford is tow truck.

No luck with the handbrake, no obvious problems with cable - same tension both sides etc.

Oh yeah! Don't back your BA out of the garage on Sunday, wash it, and put it back in the garage and expect it to start on Monday.

The original post did ask 'you be the judge'. Obviously people have very differing opinions about the merits of such a transplant. Bottom line is if you arent prepared to receive negative and positive responses then dont solicit them.

Personally I would rather stick a red hot needle into my eye.

I dunno, if I was going to bother to engineer this 4.0L ford motor into an LC/J I'd just go for the big guns and whack in a 265 Hemi.
Would sound a billion times tougher, haul ass and be different.

In saying that, I dont really care that it's a ford motor, more that it's not tough enough :P

i know i will make people hate me for this but holden cant make cars for shit anymore lol

Are you kidding?! Are you trying to say that ford can?

Holden and Ford are both completely shit. Zero respect for either of their modern cars.

How about all the export motors that Holden (or HEC build)?
