what size tips for spraying acrylic paint

just wanting to know what size tips i need for spraying acrylic would a 1.8 be too small i want to spray primer, metallic and clear and maybe hifil cheers

1.8 or 2.0mm

I use a 1.8mm for just about everything, just don't use too much air, or it ends up....in the air.

I'd say 1.8mm would work, bare minimum (particularly for hifill). I prefer 2.0mm for everything including top coats

Ok im thinking of buying a spray gun and it comes with 3 tip 1.3 , 1.5 , 1.8 so the 1.8 should be ok or should i get a 2.00 tip its a devilbiss gun

1.8 works brillayant
must thank the boys for giving me the advice on my other tread
keep the 1.3 and 1.5 they will work well with 2 pack/enamell if you decide to use them in the future

m8t that's pretty cheap
seen one at air tools wa for 250 but that may have been the gti model or something
i'll check next time i'm there otherwise i might grab one of those

yea i thought it was a good price for a half decent gun and the aussie dollar is at its highest too which helps

Looks pretty good that gun, I use an entry level devilbiss gun with 2.0mm tip and its great. Got mine from ebay, they sell them as a primer gun for 2pak, but its perfect for acrylic.
