Help with Vin number LJ

Hi all this is my first post on this forum. I am looking to buy a GTR XU-1. I am wondering if someone could help me verify the numbers I have on id tag. Earlier in life one of the plates has gone missing. The numbers i can supply from the ID plate on the drivers firewall area as follows

BLJ28442a
Eng# JP171449
year of birth is 8/73

It also has an 82911 number on strip plate at front I think from memory.

I hope someone can assist me. All other crudential specific to the model are there.

engine number is way to low for that build date
and if it has 82911 on the thin vin tag it dosnt belong to this car.
you need to post all numbers off all 3 tags.
only the body number plate should have 82911 on it. :huh:

Thanks for that it may not have 82911 on the thin plate at front. I have my brother looking at it for me as I am quite a distance away so am relying info.!. I just thought that some info may be able to be given from that plate

am I correct in thinking that the ID plate you are asking about is one that has the Chassis Number, the production date and also the engine number?

it is the plate on the drivers side at the firewall under the wiper motor

Your model no would be LJ82911, but this only confirms that it is a 2 door GTR.

Because you have a post Oct 72 build date you should have the new VIN type.

Newer LJ VINs for GTR XU1 start with 8D11P....J. This will confirm that it is an XU1 because it has a P engine code. All Brisbane and some Adelaide cars will have XU1 stamped on the Body Id plate for the engine code. Body no will have an A at the end for Adelaide and B for Brisbane.

Post the entire VIN number form the long skinny plate as well as the Body No and Chassis No so that it can be confirmed as an XU1 from the microfiche. The chassis no on the car should match the number on the ADR Compliance plate.
