My lc torrie currently runs a 202 and i am interested in going down the supercharger route, i have been looking at the crs kit but will this work well with my motor as crs say that the kit is to increase power on stock motors, cause my motor is slightly worked , mild crow cam, yt head, flat tops, starfire rods etc etc would there be much power differance or am i better spending my money on a different supercharger system or something else as my motor runs twin carbs on a x2 manifold with x2 headers. Also does anyone hav pics or info on a orange ek wagon that gets around adelaide, it runs some kind of vortech supercharger on a blue 202 i think, looks and sounds cool but looks expensive aswell.

my freind has one it hauls ass! same as CRS but we set the hole thing up .ie, mounting hardwear plumming pullys ect we made the inlet manifold two the blower .so you could fit a 4 barrel holley . we allso mounted it up the right way
this engine has a 35/75 straight cut gears yellaterra head stock bottom end
decompression plate it makes 9psi boost!

but dont expect the crs kit to work as good as this one. the blower is spinning
twice as fast as the crank shalft . as crs he users a 2 barrel or su set up.

its good for low 14 seconds mabe hi 13s i do know that its faster than a stock
WRX / R32 / R33 / V8 Commerdores utes including gen 111 new monaros
vl turbo ? not a fast one obviously!and there only a toy blower. imagine what a big one would do ? and it only cost $500-600 to setup thats including $150 for the blower. yer he got it cheap

But that said "its not happy in traffic ! it gets very hot .its at its limits .ie, you cant wind the boost up any more. it allso as the carbi out the bonnet not good
it attracts the cops ! :D

as others will tell you , i think turbo is prob the way too go.
more flexible and it under the bonnet :spoton:

cheers mate! dave.......

i hav seen that blower setup before and it is mounted the right way up, i hav heard alot about turbo kits but i think that a supercharger would be more reliable for a street car, all the turboed cars at a recent burnout comp blewup and i thought that turbos arent very gud for the internals of the motor? at the same time turbos seem to get alot more hp out of engines.
