Ha! Went to reply and it got moved while I was typing...

First thing would be an issue with rego. If you could then there'd be insurance problems.

There's not that much room under the bonnet and in a draw-thru setup, unless there's a common intake manifold then you'd need twin carbies and that could be a challenge in itself getting them balanced/sync'd.

I reckon injection would be the go. Unless you go a single turbo, or twin turbo's into a blow-thru carby.

Could be done.

There's others here that would know a lot more about the specifics though.

Yes. That's where fuel injection would be better.

Emissions would be the least of your worries. Sorry to rain on your parade- but I doubt you'll get a 308 with forced induction passed by anybody.

The engine can only be something like 2/3 capacity of the largest engine produced in the vehicles range to allow forced induction, or the largest able to be fitted re: vehicle weight.

There's a ton of other things you'd need to think about aswell. Brakes, body strength, fuel system, gearbox/trans, diff... Many more that others would know about.

My opinion is a big single turbo would be better. A lot less complicated.

fuel injection isnt always the answer , i had a vy ss 5.7 litre with a t51r garret turbo bolted on the side of it. It made on a soft tune 523.2 rwhp on just under 10psi, now i failed emissions testing on every test no matter what we did to the tune, no matter how many cats i use still failed... now if i had of gone twins i would have passed first go, due to where the o2 sensor locations on the single turbo setup it made it impossible to pass , and there was no way you could move the o2 sensors to make them work.

when you say brakes, body stength, fuel etc etc whats the difference between running a big single setup or 2 medium size twin turbo setup, the same mods still apply either way

my main concern is not getting the car engineered it was more or less will a twin turbo setup work through a carby system, and if so will i have to comply with emissions , even though the car and engine are both pre pollution

TUFF75LH355- I meant that would have to be thought about aswell as the engine, regardless of whether it's a single or twin setup.

The idea of a single would be easier regarding plumbing, oil lines, balancing/matching pressures etc. in a blow-thru setup. Not that there's heaps in a VY but there's also a space issue under the bonnet in an LH.

Licence retention may also be an issue.
