Just about finished the rewire and I found that I lost the genrator warning light
( lj gtr dash)
has any one got a spare?
can I use one from any old dash?
will any old 12 v globe do the trick?

You should try and find a globe the same wattage (or close to) the original. It's relative to the alternator system functioning as it should. On my last bosch alternator I think it said 2watt (max) but don't quote me!

The later style alternators (VN onwards) are sensitive to the globe wattage, but the earlier and original alternators on LJs aren't too fussed - if you have an 'old' alternator, you could use any of the dash globes for the gen warning light.
