Are there two types of wheel nuts , our UC has big nuts almost looks like has a locknut on it , it needs a bigger wheel brace to fit . Is it a country pack (it also has a bigger radiator ) or just off another model or one tonner ?

, our UC has big nuts

that's why they are the best torana

Interesting question, Im assuming the rims you have are standard?
the nuts that went with the sle wheel(uc option) were smaller than the standard nut, but those old school sidchrome 4 arm wheel braces(only one drive) that came with the old holdens fit the sle nut perfectly, hence the standard uc nut is larger than the older holdens which came with the same stud thread that all toranas have.

Dont know if that was different for other toranas, from memory the bog standard lever from the lx fitted the standard nut on the uc.

The diameter of the studs are larger on the kingswood models, so they cant be from them.

Does this have the SLE type wheels like Commodore
I have SLE wheels and they run a larger hex size nut to hold the centre cap on
NLA Holden
Best of luck if its them

I kept the nuts when I wrecked the car and kept the wheels

the standard uc sunbird had different wheel nuts to all other toranas. they are that way to hold the silver centre cap in place.

I just put the centre caps on when I lost a wheel trim to keep it tidy , I always thought the nuts would be good for wheels with flogged out stud holes .

I know everyone is keen to hear the latest ,OZ Wreck info is UC's with full face wheel trims have small nuts ,open face wheels have the big nuts , our new UC has small ones , that's the reason I was interested in what is original .

UC Torries had 7/16" UNF wheel nuts that either used a 3/4" or 7/8" socket. Aftermarket nuts could also heave needed 13/16" socket. Mix and match fun. I have never seen that in the 28 years I have been in the tyre industry.

/sarcasm.
