I just pulled the driveshaft to stick the V8 one in and was expecting oil to come out the back of the box but no sign of any. I have the rear jacked up about 2 feet. Is this enough to keep the oil all down the front of the box? I dont have any leaks anywhere or sign of oil coming out.I will top it up but am I just being a bit paranoid?

Yes you are paranoid, and a touch schizophrenic too! No I'm not! Yes I am! No I'm not! Yes I am!

And remember just cos you're not paranoid it doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
I had an underbody rust prevention system working up until last week...pulled the shaft (now the driveway wont rust) but my yoke didn't have a plug in the end...so I stuffed around and fitted a welsh plug then filled the inside with Araldite...no more leaks.
