Hey guys,

Just wondering if you could help us out at all.
Picked up a set of CSA Globe mags the other week, but like all wheels for sale they didnt have any wheel nuts included

Anyway was just wondering if anyone knows of a unique nut that suits, as the hole size is smaller and has a tapered seat unlike a normal flat seat type

Cheers
Briana

Pic for reference if it helps :)

You need some 7/16" UNF taper wheel nuts. Probably to suit a 19mm socket, but if the clearance is tight, you can get wheel nuts that use allen key heads. Just don't use rattle guns if you go for the allen key nuts, as I've seen them split.

Thanks for the responses

Just was unsure as to whether you could run a standard wheel nut on straight alloy as there isn't any steel insert.
Do you reckon the stockie wheel nuts will be fine then???

meh work one would still work out too expensive and i dont really like the look of the ones at work

Well we tried them on the car with just the standard nuts that came with the car originally,, they fit but thought it would be best to check. Id read somewhere about different styles for the sprintmasters and wasnt sure if it was similar too. Do you know if a there is a such a thing as a shanked tapered nut then????

Heres what they looked like on anyway

The only problem is making sure the socket or wheel brace gets around the nut without damaging the wheel, sometimes a slightly smaller outside nut size can be useful but any tapered nut that goes on properly will do

I would use new nuts due to the fact there is no steel insert in the rims. Otherwise stock wheel nuts that are a bit chewed out in the taper can dig into the seat of the rims, buggering the taper in the rims. This isn't ideal, as buggered tapers can lead to nuts coming loose.

Is it just me or do those nuts look like they are not seated far enough onto the studs?

After your PM, I had a look at my stars. Unfortunately mine are not recessed, so I am unable to help you.

However both my Hotwires and Sprintmasters have the recesses around the holes, but neither of them are tappered.

Best to play it safe. 3 wheeled Toranas are hard to stop and steer.

haha yep definately would agree to that ive been in a car with the left rear wheel held on by one wheel nut which was half screwed off :P

Found these after some research from america so might give them a crack link just gotta measure the whole diameter but i think they should be fine :)

As above your wheels will be designed for standard tapered nuts

You will need a 21mm socket for those, so they may not fit. See if you can get a 21mm socket in the nut recess.
