Can anyone please tell me what they are off.
There for my HG brake conversion to HQ disc brakes, yes i previously had disc brake front on the HG.

They have part numbers on them aswell

Yes they are Ford calipers

So not much good to you unless your changing teams (and buying a nice frock)

Q are similar... but different
And no you can't use the bodies and change the brackets

I usually fit WB's to HG's
SInce the hose position allows for a banjo setup
Any of the calipers should do though
Refer the caliper thread for what they all look like

Whats wrong with the original HG brakes ?

probably been mis-informed, but aren't the ventilated style disc on the HQ series better than the solid of the HG era?

being the same diameter dics as HQ, are the pads larger in the larger HQ calipers, better braking surface area. or is the difference not noticeable and not worth the effort.

if your building a 161, three on the tree, stick to the factory set up.

if your building something that will do 160mph,upgrade,my car at high speed under brakes, the factory rotors would glow red and put the car out of control, fitted wb stubs and calipers and the car was much better.

not that i would know much, had my monaro for 26years and did that conversion 23 years ago.

I managed to find a complete front end off a HQ with a set of cast iron girlock calipers.
Have a complete HQ one tonner chassis with front end including PBR cast calipers on it if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the help guys.

I put a pair of 3 spot calipers from a Fiat 2300 on my last HT. They worked very well.
