These are the part numbers for the Koni shocks I have for my LX. They were supplied by WA Suspensions.

Rear 80-2299
Front 80-2156SP1

You can expect to pay around $150 for each shock.

I have a new set that has been fitted to a car but not used, if you are interested in buying them send me a pm.

I have them in my hatch as well and can't complain about there performance at all

I like the fact that they are adjustable, I guess it allows you to fine tune your setup to suit your needs

For a weekend cruiser, with the occasional blat on the twisties my cars ride and handling is good and has no trouble keeping up with later model HSV's, even on our

terrible roads up here in the Far North

They're a quality compoment with a good reputation

Bilsteins have been given a good wrap by a number of members on here to and should not be over looked

yes totally agree with absynth hatch above they are tops suit our older cars but dont even go close to the bottom out or you can kiss them goodbye.did that at ringwood park and fairburn park hillclimbs and totaly stuffed them.brand new ones .i had the fronts at 3/4 turn from full and the rears at 1 turn from full.bilsteins for mine from now on as they can be rebuilt .but just my experience not gospel

The Bilstein fronts are the same as 1988 Pajero...tho you need to open up the holes a bit in the bottom arms to get them in...For street I would run the Konis at 7/8 on the front clicks and 5/8 on the rear...dont bother with any others..they are crap...especially Pedders...

Any of the reputable brands, Lovell, King etc

Spring rates will depend on what you ulitimately want to achieve in your car

When you replaced the 10 yr old shockers did you replace the springs? How old are the springs?

Koni's with Lovells springs are a very good combination.

i use universal springs at hoxton park sam makes them on site and will adjust them up to 2 times for free if they arent quite the right height.i use 180 pounds heavy duty and the arse end works a treat no skipping around corners .any stiffer you may have some issues depends what you are doing with the car .keep the front nice and stiff and the rear will look after itself.toranas seem to be very forgiving.again not gospel just my experiences racing my 4 door and my hatch .as an aside my hatch doesnt run a rear bar and it handles better than the 4 door.maybe something for you to experiment with as well.
how much for bilsteins?well they were to be $1100 odd but i got them for $700 as i showed them the bilstein signs on my marlboro replica and went the old im advertising for you help me out route and it worked.
