I just got my 5.0 SS home and the last owner said thet this tyre is the original spare that came with the car from factory. It is a GOOD YEAR G800 GRAND RALLY ( BR70H13) Polyester tubeless tyre and it is almost new so if it is the original type tyre for this car I will keep it for the spare as it really is in exellent nik.Any comments would be apreciated.

I still have a 13" spare for my SS. Tomorrow I'll have a look and see what it is. Don't think that one has ever been on the road either. And it may not be the original.

I looks tiny next to a 265X50X15.

My spare tyre is the same (Goodyear G800 Grand Rally BR70H13) and has been used but not much tread wear. LX parts manual has nothing but the LH service manual has the size (BR70H13) listed as standard on all V8 models (of LH).

More than likely. Obviously GMH had a few tyre options ( GY, DunSlop and Bridgestone ) in case of un-availability problems. The Goodyear seemed to be the more popular choice for the 70 series tyres.
