And of course injector position isn't critical... :<_<:

I understand you have the manifiold alrdy but im pretty sure there are aftermarket manifolds with bosses for injection for sale... if so maybe you can recoup some cost in selling your original one?

Can someone pls clarify if there are manifolds with the bosses?

now is this manifold a VK EFI manifold that need extra injectors or a tripple webber style manifold in which case the DCOE style Throttle boddies have provision for an injector (maybe 2) per throat...my old IDA style throttle had two per throat...

all you need to do is drill (or mill) some holes into the sides of the ports at the shallowest angle you can get, thats the hardest bit but not hard by a longshot

i would also tap some m6 threads into the base of the manifold to provide a solid mount for the fuel rail brackets

you want your injector as close as possible to the top of your heads, so that when the injector is opened, the inlet valve is open, and the piston is going down therefore sucking the atomised fuel into the piston chamber. If it isnt as close as possible you could tune the injectors to open later ( I dont think you can make them open earlier unless you muck around with your crank sensor ).
If you could invent an injector setup to shoot straight into the heads, and withstand the pressure and heat, you would be a rich man.

cheers julian
