As the title says, are side exhaust pipes legal? that is, in front of the rear wheels.
I think it might be legal on 2 doors but not 4 doors, but not sure.
Can anyone confirm??

Side pipes are legal if the exit the side of the body ** millimetres behind the rear most opening door/window/hatch etc. Probably should also exit on a 45 degree angle. Regulations will probably vary from state to state. The above is my understanding of VIC legislation.
