I picked it up about 6 months ago with a little over 95000km on the clock. Oh before you ask, yes it is a 6spd manual
i bought it as a very stock car. the only thing it had going for it was it was lowered from factory (but its still not low enough for my liking..)
after a fair while of saving, the time had come to get something done to it. i had researched all possible options and came up with a list of things i needed but not knowing where to get any of it i decided to book it into a shop, so saturday i booked it into House of Power.
Picked her up yesterday and WOAH-MY-GAWD! HoP did a fantastic job. bet your wondering what they did ok ill let you in on it....
1 3/4 pacemaker headers 4 into 1 setup
3" hi flow 100 cell race cats
twin 3" stainless system w/ large center muffler and rear muffler
OTRCAI
Mafless tune
Custom grind 236/238 cam
Custom grind comp hydrolic roller
performance valve springs
titanium retainers
one peice pushrods
and all the gaskets and misc parts to accompany.
The final result being 404.3 rwhp @ 6500 rpm and a massive smile on my face! when i picked her up i took her for a drive around and it is sooo nice and easy to drive. even with the cam, it hasnt lost any drivability in traffic and highway driving, not a drone at all very impressed!
Ive got a superkhana day on sunday which im hoping to have some nice pictures from for ya'll.
Next stop after superkhana will be an adventure to the drag strip. Last time i took the SS there (stock) i ran a 15.3.. stay tuned to find out what it runs next time down.

look at the frocking Daisy Chain of a thing 8 hours a day 7 days a week and tell me if the chev badge looks better? lol
after 300 cars a day they tend to merge into one and seeing the holden loin badge makes a welcome change

@ TJ355 No pic's yet, like i said, im going to a motokhana on sunday so hopefully ill get some decent pics from then..
diff gears currently are standard (3.55 or 3.6 from memory) but im saving up for a set of 3.9 gears.. ive been told that with the work thats been done + 3.9 diff gears and decent traction a mid to low 12 second pass is well achievable. but i dont have any decent tyres or the diff gears...yet
@ DanWA I got all the work done from House of Power. Rob owns the place and help with the work. a bloke called Brad also worked on it (from the same shop). all tuning and dyno-ing was done by them at there shop. real nice guys and Rob knows his sh*t!!! exactly what i told him i wanted he made - a car that idles like a biat*ch at the lights and squeals when you step on it, but something i can take down to albany if i wanted to without the annoying drone.
Btw, ill try and keep the bullsh*t out of this thread, despite the title saying "Josh's VZ SS"...
Edit: Come to think of it, DanWA and TJ355, are you guys running the factory 6spd manual box? and if soo have you changed the standard clutch?? i think mine is on its last legs and now with this power increase im worried it wont hold for much longer but i have no idea what would be the best clutch to use, am i best calling up a shop??

I can assist with the clutch side of things on this one
Wizard! ok then, what sort of clutch would you best think is suited for my needs. i want it to handle the power, and abit of abuse, but still maintain drivability as ill still be using the car for daily duties.

Still got a self adjusting cover so the pedal height works all thru the clutch life
Designed for more HP than you have
