Are you using a V6 or V8 k frame. You can get a VN-VS k frame to fit but not sure on VX.

Completely different. VB-VK are more or less the same apart from minor differences between manual & power steer, VL-VS are different yet again due to steering rack mounts & different engine mounts for 6cyl & V8, but are interchangeable ie a VL 6cyl K-frame can be used in a VR to fit an RB Nissan engine. VT-VZ K-frames will not fit in any first or second generation Commies.

Any k-frame from VB-VS is interchangable between the models, it's the steering racks that are different. Example, a VN-VS k-frame will bolt into a VH but the VN-VS tie rod lengths are different, VR tie-rod lengths are different to VN & so on.

the early k frmaes are the same between 6 and 8 Kev, the reccomendation for using a VN-VS V8 k frame is so you can utilise the VN-VP power steering rack as they are more compact than the earlier steering rack yet same width, (VR-VS racks are wider) allowing better clearance for extractors. the only difference between the earlier and later V8 k-frames is the little brackets that the rack bolt onto. V6 ones are very different.

the vn racks have a different input" spine to the vp's as well
just one to watch if you use the colum off, one and the rack off another
