Why is it so many 2 door LC LJ owners insist on calling their vehicles a 'Coupe' when the plate clearly states them to be a "2 Door Sedan"? (well, my 10/73 2 door 'S' does anyway, along with every other one I have seen so far)

Most insurance companies will charge you a higher premium for a 'Coupe' as it's considered a 'sports car'. A sedan is usually in a lower premium classification. Mine is insured (much to the irritation of my insurance company) as a 2 door sedan as specified on the plate. They insisted it was a 'Coupe' until I provided proof it was indeed a 2 door sedan.
Anyone able to offer me some enlightenment why so many owners insist on mis-classification of their LC LJ 2 door's as a Coupe?

Cheers.
