Looks like an LJ GTR Door trim to me.

What exactly do you want to know?

Hi

Looks like 1973 long-grain vinyl - so that would be post circa March '73. It looks like the carpet on the bottom of the door trim has been deleted (I didn't know that) or it is an aftermarket reproduction.

Cheers

Well the ones that I have seen have a silver rectangle, whereas with this one the silver shape dips down, if you get my drift, did they have different trims??? Is it just that the ones that I have seen have been the rectangle ones???
Could someone post pictures of there door trims if they have them handy, thanks.

Sorry Bazza you replied at the same time as me, I really dont know that is why I am asking, Thanks.

Same door trim design as my LJ 2-door S model in relation to the chrome strip design, although mine has a carpeted bottom section.

Thanks guys, didnt think they were GTR as I haddent seen them in one before but were taken out of a gtr so hence my question, the doors in the gtr had been replaced so I'd say the doors were out of an s.

Hey Shadey1963

I'm interested to know the trim code for your LJ.

Thanks
Dave.

Hi Dave,
The trim code is 1821 44E which seems to be called Medium Blue Vinyl. The seats, door cards, rear side cards and top vinyl, flooring, front door pinchwelds and handbrake boot are blue. The dash,,kick panels and rear side windows pinchweld are black. I dont know if it was normal to have a mixture but a blue dash might be a bit much.
Regards
Steve

Thanks Steve

That blue kind of grows on you after a while doesn't it. The black dashboard sounds right for your interior, definitely would be too much blue for sure.

I could be wrong and it is hard to tell from your picture but the carpet on the bottom of your door doesn't appear to be original.
Maybe someone has added it on to spruce it up a bit.

Cheers
Dave.

Thats probably what happened. I am chasing a new blue vinyl floor(may have to dye a light coloured available floor vinyl) , some more blue pinchweld and some blue seatbelts. A fellow in Vic had on ebay a whole blue interior, seats and all,but would not seperate pinchwelds and seatbelts, Probably should have bought the lot, I will post up photo of interior when I am done.
