Does anyone know what has happened to Muzza/XU1 Performance?

I've been ringing (workshop & mobile) on and off for a few weeks now and there is never any answer.

I've also called past on 4 occasions and the place is always shut and never looks any different.

Probably closed due to his customer service (read lack of it)... I went in there once to suss the place out to see what sort of place it was, and basically got told to piss off...

Nice.

I went there about a month or so ago and it was closed up. Last time I saw Muzza actually there, he charged me $30 for 3 bumper bar bolts and that was in 2008 sometime

$700 he wanted for a GTR complete wiring loom. I went there and it was a pig of a place which matched his pricing.

My GTR cluster came from that place. Two trips back and two different clusters and I still had to fork out another $250 to get all the gauges working. However... my rebuilt tacho seems to be much less bouncy and more accurate than the original ones I've seen in others cars.

Hey guys sorry to start the thread up again but I was talking to a guy on the weekend and he was saying that Muzza closed up after his brother passed away, I'm lead to believe he took over his brothers business in thomastown doing the same. I had a look online and found xu1 performance parts and panel in Ivanhoe st thomastown. Might pop past there tomorrow to see if Muzza is there.

Last year there was an advert on Gumtree which included a bunch of LC/J Torana wrecks and there was a brief discussion at this link

What you heard was true; Muzza took on his brother's business (some sort of mechanical workshop I believe) when he passed away. He just closed up his existing factory. But last year Muzza also passed away. The chap who placed the Gumtree advert had taken over the cars and parts in some sort of deal for the original factory. I actually went through the factory with the chap but apparently most of the parts were gone by the time the chap was on the scene. There were still quite a few parts cars though.

I don't know if Muzza passed away or not, but his brother did for certain.

His brother that did pass away was well known in the Hi Performance scene, he owned Ricksons Street Performance in Thomastown, had a 9sec HQ Premier if memory serves me, and as far as I know the shop (Ricksons) is still running.

I don't know what became of XU1 Performance.
