Hi all,

well i modifyed my pedal to suit a clutch master cylinder for the box i have in the ute, but im not happy with the general design of my pedal it doesnt feel like it will last too long

what would be the best way to mount it to my pedal?

i kinda figured maybe changing the angle of the back of the pedal and welding a bracket with a big bolt and nut on it

i will get photos of both the master cylinder and the pedal later on tonight

any help will be appreciated

cheers josh

Normally you'd just drill a hole in the pedal (the thick lever part between the pivot and the pedal pad) and use a pin to attach it to the pushrod. The Dellow conversion mounts an HR style master on the firewall with a custom bracket around the brake booster, all you do is drill a hole in the firewall for the pushrod, and a hole in the pedal at the right height, no actual modification of the pedal.

The gearbox has nothing to do with the master cylinder as long as the slave is suitably matched to the master in displacement.

This shows everything but the pics are very small and there doesn't seem to be bigger versions:
http://autospeed.com/cms/A_108912/printArticle.html

All you need is this master with a pushrod that has a rod end at the pedal and the alloy bracket at left:

The standard pedal is used.

alright well i spoke to dellow and they do a HR style conversion

anyway i let the pictures do the talking

im so confused

this is the VS Master Cylinder with a remote bottle i have seen a fair few people use these master cylinders but havent seen how the pedals are run

Posted Image

and this is the pedal out of the HZ

Posted Image

i originally had a bracket welded onto another pedal but the way it was setup it was putting to much pressure on the rod

what should i do???

i have been told the bore sizes on the hr style cylinder will not suit the getrag

although dellows does the complete pedal conversion for hr cylinder for $300 plus postage

as you can see the top of the pedal has been modified to suit cable from the previous T5 so it designed to pull away not push onto the cylinder.

if i straighten the bracket it will make it sit awkwardly has anyone got an idea on what i can do

i was going to weld a bracket mid way on the pedal but realised when it pushes it pushes on an angle rather than straight the vs master cylinder is designed to push straight

can i possibly bend the push rod??? to go on an angle that will be straight for the bracket on the pedal that i will fabricate?

cheers josh

Master cylinder
Not slave

Slaves do the work.. and sit at the bottom beneath Masters feet

Is he still in Warwick QLD?

it is actually the pedal needs alot of manipulating and alot of time

this includes the master cylinder which is what i meant in the first place...

the way it is pictured is the way you get it...

I am confused. You are selling this ute. Why bother dicking around with a hyd ckutch if it was already set up for cable? Especially spendingg $8-900 on a pedal/master set up

because the box is designed for a hydro clutch and to convert the box to cable is a ridiculous price

New bellhousing and clutch fork for cable clutch would be around 400 if you found a second hand bellhousing. Or just make the hole in the bellhousing bigger for a cable clutch fork. Thats what I did with the bellhousing for the supra box in my lh.

All commodores with T5's were cable clutch from factory. They only went hydraulic in vs series 2 with the getrag box
