Hi all,
My 5 speed box has a really short shifter. ie: have to lean down to change gears. I figure it's a homemade 'short shifter'. Anyway, what options do I have for a replacement?
Almost all aftermarket ones are also 'short shifters', am I best off removing the one on there now and dropping into a few wreckers and see what they've got?

Just take the one you have to the wreckers and tell them what you want. Shouldn't be too hard to find another one.

yeah,
try a wrecker like these guys,
Asian Auto Spares,
Any Jap Spares,
is just a couple out of the yellow pages.
they should have a standard length shifter.
