Hey guys, I just picked up a Supra R154 G/box and done abit of research and have found that the first gear thrust washer is a common problem/weak link and should be replaced with a chromoly Item.

So just looking for a good workshop that could supply the required part and fit it, as well as give it a general check over internally and make sure everything is ok before I fit it to the car?

There was talk of this mod on antilag

Go have a hunt there

I personally have a guy who does my Toyota boxes... he's Toyo trained and builds racecars for a living... but he's mine and I'm not giving his info out :)

Try Allen or Neil at S+G gearboxes in Cannington to check it over and fit
But you'll probably have to source the bits if they are specials
They build boxes... but not sure they do fancies

Cause he's too busy to take on anything else
So I won't push work to him when he's already got plenty to do :)
