I live in NZ and we don't get much tv coverage here of australian events but someone from aussie was telling me they had a big event on, where all aussie cars were split up into catagories like 1968-1978 production cars or something along those lines and raced.

What event do you think he would be talking about?

I think he mentioned it was pissing down with rain and the XU-1's were at the front of the pack?

Anyone know where I could view footage of such events?

Yep, spot on Toranavista. There was some great AMC Masters racing on TV one day Chopper dropped in... would be a few months ago.

That was the race with the XU-1s kicking butt in the wet, I don't recall seeing one race that day where a Torana didn't win (except for the 1978 onwards racing with Skylines and stuff).
