[FONT=Arial]i have just finished restoring my lx slr5000 and was wondering if anyone out there knows what the market value is as im about to get it registered.....

maybe you could show us some pics? indicate it's condition, how original it is etc....

Good LX 5000's kept basically original are fetching between $25k and 35k. 2 good unflared ones have recently sold in this price range. I contacted AMC sales and asked them for an honest value and they stated the same price range. Redbook is somewhere close to that as well. Lesser un-original versions are still between $10k and $20k..

It all depends on the car and its condition and how much someone is willing to pay. A nice standard example like LX5008's would fetch mid $30k all day..

For registration purposes the market value is $1 :D

Unfortunantly, they are not that stupid. Which is why I suggested $5000.

Hi guys, i registerd rhe car with a market value of $4.000 The girl behind the counter actually asked me what i thought the market value was . A reader was right, they did not have a clue, i could of gotten away with $2.000 but anyway the
5000 is on the road now......
