Most rust bodies can be fixed, if your willing to put some time and effort into it.

Grant and Craig dont worry the GTR is still in the shed and it is not going anywhere.. Dan was very keen to start working on it, but I have convinced him to leave it to the pro's. The one tonner came up with a complete another 202 and auto , Dan wanted to practice his welding skills from what he has learnt in the VET course so far , hence the ute, yes it needs some work, but hey if he stuffs it we can easily replace the cab..Once we get sorted the 253/Auto will come out and be sold, the 202/Auto will go in. Will update some more photos once he has done some more work.

It clearly has not got WB front panels but whats the difference between a WB cab and early HX-HZ ones? What model cab do you think it is?

Apart from that its looks like shes got some rust but should come up a treat when your WBs finished, keep up the progress pics.

Hey Dan and Wayne, yellow needle dash is either HZ or WB, with the cabin the WB washer squirters are plastic ones mounted on the cowl rather through the vent. with rust like that in the cowl you are probably gunna have massive rust inside the plenum and then the floor. your more then welcome to come and see mine for inspiration or proof that everything can be repaired I also have more than a few spares.Jeff

I recon you could fix it easy with a wrecked out WB sedan shell if you cant find another solid WB tonner cab.

Why are 1-tonners always so much rustier than there sedan counterparts. Is it the tradies that own these cars that just bodgy things up with there house building skills or something?
