hey Guys

Im looking into buying and building a bike. I really like the bobber look with cafe racer style bars. Im probably looking to go down the Jap 250 route as I dont yet have my bike licence. Post up pics of nice bobbers/ cafe racers and any tips or suggestions of the route I should go down

Cheers

I know nothing about bikes and I'm not really "into" them, but occasionally I see one that gets me pumping a bit hahahaha

I prefer Bobber over Cafe racer personally, all the ones pictured in this thread have been Cafe bar the one Heath put up, thats a Bobber.

Cheers.

Yeah I'm not much into cafe racers, I just like bobbers with nice short bars off a cafe racer etc.

Man, I really don't need any more projects, I shouldn't look at any more of this stuff!

I'm turning mine into a semi cafe racer, i still want something comfortable to ride. I made my own bars from a set of bent bars. look up perthstreetbikes.com.au , alot of cafe racers on there, a good bunch of blokes.

I'm not modifying the tail on my bike though, i want to keep the frame as is.

you will definatley need old school steel tube frame to pull off the cafe look. i like the street fighter look myself. sort of modern cafe racers looking really agro...

Only thing that puts me of a Cafe is cutting the frame.

One above doesnt appear to be cut??

No where structural anyway.

Cheers.

I would say its had a good few inches chopped off the back, the most expensive part is the fibreglass tail.

Like i said, nothing structural.

Usually the rear section from the shock mount back is bolt on/off anyway.

If your converting the bike to a singe seater like that one is then you dont really need anything back there.

That glass cowel would be easy enough to make :D

Cheers.

Mines in shitbox mode at the moment lol. I've got alloys on mine, got a spare set of alloys as well but no one will swap me those for wire wheels.
