After some time searching for good condition black armrests I have given up trying and decided to dye the ones I have. So the question is what product are people using to get the best result making there armrests black and keeping close to the original black??
Cheers in advance guys :)

i cant comment on the color but i used vht vinyl dye on my steering wheel, the color's still the same as the day i dyed it, it hasnt even remotly started to wear down and im extremelly happy with how it turned out

id think a soft vinyl steering wheel that gets alot of wear and flex would be a good indication of the quality of the sprays

Of rareparts a shop here in WA, they sell alot of rarespares gear so I assumed it was from them but maybe not.

I've used VHT as well, works great, turned chamois sunvisors black no worries.
Also used it to turn brown seatbelts black (i think this might be illegal!!! the things you do when you are young)
If you do it don't drive the car with a white shirt on for a couple of months as some of the black comes off initially and will leave you with a sash on your shirt.

Rare spares only do left front new black arm rests and they have no idea if or when they will do the others. Strange marketing. If I could buy 4 new ones I would.

as per my post above we are out of stock on most of them, we have 3 left hand versions still in stock, we are retooling and remaking these and one of our staff is actually working on them today but untill we have a set date for delivery these will remain off the website but we definatly know they are coming one day in the not too distant future

Why only the front left?

we would of started the process of changing suppliers for both whilst we still had stock with the hope of finalising the new stock before we actually ran out of the old stock

unfortunatly we sold out of the right hand "AR1006" a while ago but havent yet sold out of the left hand "AR1007",

Why only the front left? i dare say the front right was far more popular and sought after
