Hey guys, I got one of those Billet Interior rear view mirrors

Posted Image

It comes with some glue and im guessing you just glue the mount to the glass.. But uh then you can see it from the outside...

My new model hilux looks like it has a black rectangle on the glass first then the mount is glued to that.... Can you get these black sections from a windscreen fitter or something?

the glue dries clear...you shouldn't notice it that bad from outside
if it bothers you that much you might be able to draw the black in with a texta

Yea that's what I mean tho it dries clear so you will see the underside of the mount on the outside. Late model cars with their mirror mounted on the window have a black square to hide it

You could try a craft shop for some of those paints they use on glass, the stuff seems to stick like shit to a blanket.
Don't know how successful it will be with a bracket glued over it though.
