Hanra, did you get to the bottom of this?  I think LH and LX wiring looms are different.  My LH SL/R 5000 runs through the engine mount and back of engine under extractors, however my LX aftermarket wiring loom appears to want to sit next to the rocker cover (not long enough to connect running under the exhaust (which don't sound too good a location for a race car at any rate.

Let us know how you went.

Can't even find any decent pics on the net.

Using a factory GHM LH Torana workshop manual as a guide, i've tried to route the engine harness on my 1974 LH with 304 V8 as close as possible to how they were originaly. The harness runs along the top rear of the engine down to the starter motor. A metal clip that bolts on with the bell housing to engine block prevents the harness from touching the L/H/S exhaust manifold. The harness continues toward the front of the engine enclosed in a plastic sheath & exits just above the L/H engine mount where it is secured with another metal clip that bolts just beneath the engine number pad. It is then routed along the top of the timing cover to the temp sensor & alternator. The alternator charge wire runs parralel with it, secured to the cylinder head by a metal clip that also serves to mount the negative battery cable. My computer skills are limited so i can't scan the factory diagram but i can post pics of my engine with the harness in place.

Found this in the LX parts manual. This is run how I've done mine. Makes the best sense.
