Hi all. Just wanting to know how would I tell if I have genuine XU-1 globes on my XU-1 mockup. I had a look inside the rim and it says "Globe Australia, P/N: 60135A". Any ideas?

I'm not an expert on this but it appears you have genuine Globes. There should be a 2 digit date stamp i think.

I believe the Sprintmasters were a dealer option, not a factory option. So i doubt you could call them XU-1 Globes.

Inside, a circle about the size of a 5 cent piece, bit of sandpaper, clean it up, will have 3 numbers, 1 then a line then 2 more.8-72...theres your clue.

this thread as been done time and time again here goes.

the month is denoted by dots (eg 6 dots = 6th month) and the year is the two numbers in the circle (eg 1972= 72)
the pic shows a 6 month 72 rim

Just checked the wheels again and they have exactly the same stampings and part numbers as what is seen in your photo except the circle and dots are not there at all. Would this indicate they are genuine but optioned, or an aftermarket wheel??

No Torana left the factory with Globes. You could order them with your new car and the dealer would get them fitted. Just like ordering your brand new car with side tinted windows. Doesn't come that way from the factory, but you can order it through the dealer.
