Has anyone fitted a B&M Pro-Ratchet shifter to a Tri-matic? I have fitted one to a TH350 & found adjusting the cable to shift the trans etc properly time consuming but relatively hassle free, i'm trying to fit one to a Tri-matic & after four hours i'm still having trouble. I can adjust the cable to select all the gears properly except Park. On the TH350-400-700, a double ratchet motion is needed when shifting from Reverse to Park, this won't work with the Tri-matic as the swivel joint on the cable ends up too far from the selector lever on the trans. I've been trying to adjust the the cable so only a single ratchet motion is used to select Park as with Ford & Mopar transmissions but i'm finding it is fraction out of selecting it properly. If i slightly adjust the cable so it positively selects Park as it's supposed to, it won't select any of the other gears properly. This has been frustrating me for hours now & i'm at a loss as how to solve the problem, am i wasting my time trying to fit this shifter?

Yeah, when i pull the swivel out of the selector lever on the trans, rotate the slip yoke in the trans slightly & i can watch the lever move fraction when Park actually engages. Do use a single ratchet motion to select Park on your car, or a dual?

Single mate, and i think the swivel is in the foward most hole on the selector, but i'd have to check that.
Basically mine is exactly how you described though, was like that back when i was driving it around and never seemed to cause a problem. I did think about perhaps looking at the mechanism in the shifter and seeing if i could tweak something to let it go that extra pooftinth into park....May investigate that more if you dont beat me to it.
Cheers.

Yeah, mine is exactly the same, swivel fits in the second hole & Park is selected (or not) through single ratchet motion. I had another go at adjusting it without luck. It selects all gears but it's stiff to operate from Neutral to Reverse & doesn't select Park properly at all. With the shifter in Park position, i could rotate the slip yoke easily until i removed the swivel & moved the lever by hand a fraction.
