Hey all. I have a mate who's got his red six sitting way too close to the radiator. We will be executing a new K-Frame conversion in the next month or two on the beast, and we want to attend to all of the problems at hand when we do so.

This is an ex-4cyl LH, with a shithouse backyard conversion done by the previous owner.

We want to know if the 4cyl LH sedans had longer tailshafts and any other details that we may need to pay attention to?

If they are longer, we may be looking for a shorter L6/V8 tailshaft in the near future.

All input appreciated.

I have a spare 6 cyl LH - UC tailshaft in the garage. Front uni needs replacing, so I'd be replacing both. I shall take an approximate measurement between the middle of the two unis later on for comparison sake.

Wanna swap the 4 banger x-member for the 6 cyl tailshaft? I need an x-member to dummy fit a non standard motor.

If we could get the 6cyl Tailshaft and then give you the Crossmember a bit later on (so we can replace the unis and change the Crossmember etc when we've finished the job then it could be very handy.

That's the order I was expecting events to happen in. I'll try remember to leave it where I found a neat LH guage cluster. Hopefully tomorrow morning.

After I drop my son off at school, I basically drive past your place to drop my daughter off at school. So it's not out of my way at all.

He sure did, looks like that tailshaft was subsequently used for some "window bashing" hahaha just kidding, appreciated very much Chopper.
