If UC is the same as LX then the doorbelts (assuming you are referring to the rubber strips on the base of the window on either side) are easy to take out - there are a series of slots inside the top of the door on both sides, the doorbelts have clips inbuilt in them that go into these slots. You can just go along with a flat blade screwdriver to release the clips. Put some tape around the end to protect the paint...

Put a cloth around your screwdriver, and pry it towards the rubber (away from your paint & sheet metal). Screw driver end will be putting pressure on the bottom inner lip of the door (does that make sense?). They are pretty stubborn, so just work one at a time, as always the first clip is always the hardest.

If your reading this and you have an LH, you unscrew the chrome strip, fit the rubber, then rescrew in the chrome for the outer belts (such a sensible design).

You stuff the spring clips getting them out, so once you take them off you are committed to new ones. There was a bad batch with the wrong size clips, but I think they've rectified that now (some Sydney mob that was down here at the Nats).

I also suggest putting a light spray of silicon spray on your belts before installing them, as if your window's are real clean, it can rip them straight out again till they bed in/wear a bit (frustrations).
