Well the days are counting down until the ferals and bogans unite for a weekend of burnouts, girls and piss. That's right it's only a few months until Rev Heads is back on.

What I'd like to know is, is anyone from the forum considering attending this year whether it be Burnouts, Show and Shine or just for a gander?

This is one of my favourite events of the year and there is no way that i'll be missing it, would be good to see a few other Toranas on the oval for the show and shine.

Dates for this year are November 18th and 19th (Friday & Saturday)

More information on the website below.

Cheers

Don't be turned off by the ferals in the back paddock Potta.

My brother has taken his young kids a couple of times.

It's a great weekend. The ferals spend most of the time down at the camping grounds anyway so if your there for the day you won't see them. The day generally has a great atmosphere and you will have no problems with the kids.

I have been to Revheads quite a few times now and allways had a good time. They have cleaned up alot of the unsociable behaviour .

If you haven't been i recommend it is worth a visit just to see how small a burnout pad that requires serious driver skills to master.

What an unfortunate name the organisers have chosen. It conjures up all the wrong images for the general publics mind.

I personally have to wonder at the mentality of the organisers who would choose such a name. I guess it's financially driven and they dont give a toss about the bad imagine this will give street machines and their owners.

Think again guys....

I personally don't believe that the name is that bad. As long as I can remember (although I am only 20) the term rev head has just been used to describe someone thats into cars, bikes boats etc, I suppose the same as a petrol head.

From what I understand rev heads used to have a lot of problems, but from what people say that was over 5 years ago. Of course your still going to get a few of the "locals" but thats too be expected and they dont seem to cause a problem. I've been the last 2 years in a row with my car and i've noticed that the people that come to look and the show and shine section (where i've spent most of my time) are always very friendly and respectful of the cars and usually have shildren in tow.

Basically your always going to get some idiots no matter where you go but thats just life. Either way I'll be there. If anyone wants to come say hello i'll be at the Just Cruizin Street Machiners display with the green lj four door.

Cheers
Jason

All the money raised is given to charity. The organizers do a great job and like others have stated they have cleaned it up alot since the early days. I have been going since the 2nd one they held and in the early days it did get out of control. When events like this get a name for this type of behavior it takes a long time to get it back under control and to the organizers credit they are winning to bring it back to a family freindly event.
