Hey all,
I'm having a run at Eastern Creek this weekend... first run since the engine has been tuned with the new headers.... and also the 1st run with the new Xu1 booster...
Hoping for an improvement in lap times... but there's a possibility that the weather might conspire against me!
And to CraigA, this is your reminder I promised!
If anyone does drop in, come say Hi.... though I suspect most of you will be out at Richmond!

Didn't go well AT ALL!
My 1st run - track was damp, and I had to get a feel for the car, but all was feeling good....
Dad's first run - blew the manifold gasket... noisy, but not enough to stop us from keeping going.
My 2nd run - broke the clutch on my 1st lap... felt like the pressure plate - that was enough to stop us!
Car back on trailer, and back home - engine & gearbox out by 9.30pm.... BUT, last thing I disconnected before pulling the engine out was the clutch mech, and guess what I found - a broken bracket on the rat trap!

ever thought about a hydralic clutch master and slave cylinder?
I have done a search on here in the past and found a bit of info on them and seen one on a car years ago and it looked really neat.

Yeah, thought about it a lot... but the $500 price tag is still a stumbling block!
..it's on the 'wish list'
For now I just, strengthened the rat trap...and wait for the next weak link to appear.

i have an lh 6 cyl rat trap are they similar???if you need to butcher it for parts,tried to sell it on ebay nobody even looked at it so if its any help its there.
i also notice my t/a soon to become lj runs a cable not a rat trap.
did you used to do sprints at op your car seems familiar?
hope you get it all sorted.

yeah right till the end then did the last practice day there as well.it was an awesome track i wish they could replicate it somewhere.i loved it

it varied either a yellow hj monaro or a white and black slr5000 replica a red and black hatch even an xw.
i did some in 2007 nearly all of 08 and then only certain ones in 9 and 10.
im going to get back into it in the next couple of years.
i think your car can be seen waiting in one of my vids ill look for it.

I think I did my first OP in late '08 - I started doing them regularly in '09 and since.
I run in the CSCA series(Combined Sports Car Assoc) which is the MG clubs, Lotus, Jaguar, triumph, Morgan, & Austin Healy.
Might see you 'round in the future.

Had our last run at wakefield last weekend.
Nice to finish the year with a good run... hasn't been the best year for us.

steve lacey emailed me all the dates for next year im going to have a go next year now that ive got my trailer back and my truck so hopefully ill see you out there.
