Hey Guys,

I am getting to the business end of my build, I am running a TH700 (4L60) auto behind the new 355. I'm running a 3500 TCE ProStreet Converter with the lock up feature.

I'm interested to hear how others have hooked up the lock up clutch (When not running EFI or computers)

I am thinking about just running a switch to the cabin, and I just activate it myself whenever I want.

I found this wiring diagram on how to wire it up

Looks simple enough, is this how others have done it?

Where can I get that plug from to make it a nice neat conversion? Does anyone have a Holden Part Number?

How have others mounted their switch? I was condidering getting one of the B&M handles with the switch inbuilt into the handle to keep it neat, or just mounting a switch on the steering wheel or something.. Anyway, I'd like to hear what others have done?

Also, before others remind me, I know I have to run the TV cable (Kickdown cable on the T700). Already sorted! I bought this Trickflow bracket from Summit (See the extra bracket underneath for the TV Cable), as well as the extra throttle bracket on the carb itself.

Thanks in advance!

I'm all for the dash switch or wherever you want to put it....but i would run it thru a manifold pressure switch as well so it was only activated at High manifold vacuum (cruise and decelleration) otherwise you would run the risk of it wearing out wouldn't you?

What does TCE say?

I'll ask them tonight when I pick up the stall...

Thats a good idea about the pressure switch, I had never thought of that. That would be a pretty simple thing to hook up as well.

I can't seem to find the VN wiring manual at present but I think your diagram is something along the lines of how the factory EFI setup is done so should be all good. I like the idea of the shifter mounted button, much like the 'overdrive' buttons on some Jappas.

You could potentially use a Trimatic style kickdown switch on the accelerator pedal with a 5 pin relay to disconnect for WOT as an alternative to the pressure switch. Isn't there some deal with potential for converter overheating if you forget to turn it on for long periods too?

I fitted a Painless Wiring kit to a car a few yeas ago, see if I've still got the part#, think it came from American Auto's.
TCI make this one seems ok. http://www.tciauto.c...wiring-kit.html

I got the diagram from here:

http://holdenpaedia....r_in_old_Holden

Some good info there... After speaking with TCE, I'll wire it up like that diagram, to only allow it engage when in 4th gear...

I'll probably run a switch that lights up when its on as a reminder for me not to leave it on... I assume that if i have to brake suddenly from 4th when the L/up is activated, it'll just switch off when it down shifts to 3rd? If its hooked up via that 4th gear switch in the box?

Ahh thanks Warren! That seems like a good little kit!

Kinda does everything you'd want!
