I had my all my gauges repaired by Shepparton speedos in Victoria and I had no issues. I used them because of the referral on here. Tacho works great. However, if I was to use aftermarket gauges to suit/fit the original dash I would consider Speedhut.com as they make gauges in various colours and sizes. As for the shift light a went with Gizzmo stand alone unit. It small and sits nicely on the steering column.

cheers

Mark

i had my ss hatch tacho recalibrated many years ago..then after i put it back in a month or two later it was out again

so i took it out and replaced it in the dash with a 3" vdo unit..which has worked fine for years

but i'm about to buy a Autometer 3 3/4" tacho( not monster big) and mount it on the column..and put the stocky back just to fill the hole as per original

I've used shep speedos a few time, one of the tacho's couldn't be fixed so they fitted a new VDO unit behind the original face.

But if you want a shift light and tacho have a look at the autometer digital pro shift system. http://www.autometer...il.aspx?vid=203

I took mine to an instrument repair place and the replaced the guts of the tacho completely, from the back you could see what they had done but from the front it looked completely stock except it was far more accurate then it ever had been before it broke

Just a thought, the factory tachos have a 4-6-8 cylinder switch on the rear....Is it set correctly?

yeah i already checked that one unless the switch is broke but its definately in the 8cyl position
its only out by about 300rpm at idle but the higher the revs go the further its out i no at 100ks it reads 4500 rpm when all the web based rpm calculators say it should only be on 3500rpm
