Hi could anyone help me out here Im looking at biulding up a 5lt 308 out of a VT Commodore.

I heard that Vic Roads requires the first prefix on the block to match that year car.

Is this right and whats the go

I would also like to know if you can use a late model block in an LX?

try searching the vic roads website bit of a grey area your sposed to run all the emissions that the car or motor came out with which ever is more recent but 308s are fundementally the same so you may be able to get away with it if not buy a set of stamping pins :P
