Need some direction and advice.

I have a registered LH torana in WA and the compliance plates have been misplaced. What to do?

I was told to ring Holden to get new plates, but they said anything older than 10 years they cant re produce.

Now I was told by transport if i cant get the plates throught Holden I need to write an aplication to Vehicle Safety Branch with my details and current circumstances and they can give me a new VIN or plates??

I have read in some of the other threads saying along the lines that if you have the car registered you can get a permit or cert saying the car is missing the complinace plates??

Just to reiterate the car is registered and all numbers are matching, I just dont have the compliance plates.

Can anyone adivse me on want I need to do?

You can register it without plates
And no-one issues new ones

And if its currently rego and you have the pepers... and your not planning on selling
Don't stress it

serious?

Yeah its rego'd and I have the rego papers.

I have been told so many things, thats great to hear and saved me a lot of stressing out. Have you been in this situation?

i see you have a datto. Use to have a 2 datto 1600 in my youth, great fun car. I still have a few parts if your chasing any.

Thanks again

My hatch has no compliance plate, either. Didn't worry the licensing centre at all. I have a comment on my licence paper saying that the car has no compliance plate & thats all.

Michael, I had a LH over 15 years ago that I purchased and got registered in WA , it was a Vic registered car that I had the paperwork for and it had a hole drilled through part of the number on the chassis plus the Vehicle Identification Plate had a rivet put through some of the lettering (god know what the hole and rivet was for) but I was still able to get it registered in Perth. This was after the DOT inspector did his insepction and then some checks on the computer before giving it the ok and rego'd it.

If it's already rego'd don't worry bout it. If it was unlicensed then u would be issued another plate. That is all. No dramas either way mate.
