Salvo's Christmas Hamper Run- 2011
We would like to invite your club members to be part of the 2nd annual" ASRF-Salvo's
Christmas Hamper Run" which is scheduled for October 23rd. The inaugural event was for ASRF members
only, but this year we want to spread more cheer and collect more donations for the needy of Perth.
The Salvo's need non-perishable foods such as tinned ham, fruit cake. Christmas
pudding and long life custard etc. to make up hampers to distribute to those families in less fortunate situa-
tions. They were overwhelmed by the support from the 75 or more entrants in last year's event.
This year we are having a "Show'n'Shine" at Cannington Greyhounds on Station
street, Cannington and ask entrants to be in and parked by 10.30am so we can open to the public between
11am and 2pm. Entrants are asked to bring along 2 or 3 items of non-perishable food to give to the Salvo's
who will have a collection point at the venue. They will also have a sausage sizzle and cool dinks for sale.
Fast food outlets are just a short walk away at Carousel Shopping Centre.
Entrants vehicles must be street rods customs or classics (pre'78.chrome bumper")
to be eligible.
