Exhaust manifold paint?

Can anyone tell me whats the best paint to use to paint Exhaust headers.I want something that is not going to burn off over time like my headers are now.Its pissing me.Or is there another method,all I want is a flat black look.

have you tried graham,extreame blasting,that shit don,t look to bad.

just got a set of XU1 headers ceramic coated up here in Brisbane,supposed to last for years.
havent put `em on yet still waiting to buy a system.
Compition Coatings did them for $220 in a `cast grey` but was quoted $250 for flat black that includes all prep work
might be worth looking into

If you want flat black buy some BBQ paint.

Get your header sand blasted and paint it on. Fit it to the engine and fire it up. As soon as the paint starts smoking turn it off and wait for it to cool down until its dead cold.

Repeat this cycle until they dont smoke anymore.

They should be fine from now on.

Obviously do this AFTER you have run your cam in. This and extended burnouts will kill any exhaust coating.

Had a bloke paint my truck brake drum pot belly stove in some zinc based stuff that is sposed to be able handle 500 deg,seems ok except the
color might be wrong for car xhaust,it has glowed in the dark a few times too.
